Builder Selection Bundle

Before you choose a builder, know what to ask, compare and clarify.

Choosing a builder is one of the most important early decisions in a building project, but it can be difficult to know what to ask, how to compare information or what details should be clarified before moving forward.

The Builder Selection Bundle gives you a clear, practical sequence of guides, checklists, worksheets and records to help you prepare before choosing a builder. It supports you to ask clearer questions, prepare for builder meetings, compare quote information, clarify inclusions and exclusions, organise decision factors and keep better records of what has been discussed.

It does not choose a builder for you or replace professional advice. Instead, it helps you become more prepared, more organised and more aware of the questions and items that may need clarification before you make your own decision.

What's included — nine practical documents designed to work together

• 00 · Start Here Guide — Understand how the bundle works, where to begin and how each document connects to the next.
• 01 · Builder Selection Guide — A practical overview of the builder selection stage and the key areas to prepare, compare and clarify.
• 02 · Builder Questions Register — Prepare questions and record builder responses in one structured place.
• 03 · Builder Meeting Checklist — Prepare before, during and after builder meetings so important items are not left to memory.
• 04 · Quote Comparison Worksheet — Compare quote information side by side and identify what appears clear, unclear or different.
• 05 · Inclusions and Exclusions Clarification Record — Record items that need clarification around scope, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and allowances.
