These Terms of Service apply when you buy or use anything from Semplicita™. Please read them before you buy. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. About these terms and who we are

These terms apply when you buy or use anything from Semplicita™, including our website, our paid products and the Semplicita Workspace App.

"Semplicita", "we", "us" and "our" mean Semplicita, a registered business name of Pearson Projects Pty Ltd (ABN 97 629 342 294), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. "You" means the person who buys or uses our products.

By buying a product, creating an account or using the Workspace App, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t buy or use our products.

2. Our products

Semplicita sells general educational preparation resources for people building or renovating a home:

  • The Building Confidence System — all five stage bundles together
  • Stage bundles — Builder Selection, Preparing to Sign, Build Underway, Preparing for Handover and After Completion
  • Project Packs — Renovation, Kitchen, Bathroom, Outdoor Living, Pool, Shed/Garage/Carport and Subdivision
  • Single tools — individual tools from the Renovation Pack
  • Free starter checklists

Paid products come as guided documents in the Workspace App, with printable PDFs and, for some tools, Excel workbooks. What each product includes is described on its page on our website.

3. Your licence: one purchase covers one project

Each purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that product for one building or renovation project at one property address.

  • Buying more stage bundles, packs or tools for the same project is fine — they all work together in your Workspace App.
  • A separate project, or a project at another address, needs its own purchase.
  • Your Workspace App account holds one project. If you want to start a second project using an email address you’ve already used, please contact Semplicita.
  • You may share your completed documents with people involved in that project — such as your builder, trades, consultants, lender or building surveyor — for that project only.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the products themselves, share your login, or use them for other projects or for commercial purposes.

4. Buying and payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
  • Payment is processed securely through Shopify. We don’t see or store your card details.
  • Each purchase is a one-time payment. There is no subscription.
  • Our products are offered to customers in Australia.
  • We may change prices at any time. A change doesn’t affect a purchase you’ve already made.

5. Your account and the Workspace App

  • After checkout, we email you a link to sign in to the Workspace App with the email address you used at checkout.
  • Your account is for you, and anyone working with you on the same project. Keep access to your email secure, because the sign-in link goes there.
  • How long you have access. Your access to the Workspace App lasts at least 12 months from the date you buy. After 12 months, your account stays open while you keep using it. If your account has been inactive (no sign-in) for 28 days after the 12 months, we’ll email you to ask whether you still need it. If you tell us you don’t, or you don’t reply within 14 days of our email, we’ll deactivate your account.
  • Before and after deactivation. You can download your complete project record at any time, including before your account is deactivated. After deactivation, we keep your stored documents, photos and records for 90 days, and you can still sign in to download your complete project record. You can also ask us to reactivate your account. After 90 days, your records are permanently deleted. We’ll remind you by email before this happens.
  • We may update the Workspace App to improve it, fix problems or keep it secure. We’ll aim to keep your records and the products you’ve bought available through any change.
  • From time to time the app may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

6. 14-day money-back guarantee and your consumer rights

If you’re not happy with a paid product, email hello@semplicita.com.au within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. No questions asked. Once refunded, your access to that product ends.

Our products come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. The money-back guarantee is in addition to them.

7. General educational information, not advice

Semplicita provides general educational guidance and preparation resources only. We provide the structure; you keep the decision.

  • Our products are not legal, financial, building, engineering, inspection or other professional advice, and they don’t consider your particular circumstances.
  • We don’t manage, supervise, inspect or certify your project, approve variations or progress claims, or assess workmanship.
  • Rules differ between states and change over time. Check anything specific to your project with the right licensed professional, your building surveyor or the relevant authority.
  • The budget tracker and other calculations add up the figures you enter. They are a record-keeping aid, not a cost estimate or financial advice.

8. Your project information and records

  • What you enter in the Workspace App belongs to you. We use it only to provide the app to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Your saved documents, budget figures and files are stored in your account. Some working entries are also kept in the browser on your device until saved.
  • You can download or print your documents at any time. We recommend keeping your own copies of important records, such as signed contracts, certificates and approvals.
  • You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for not uploading anything you don’t have the right to share.

9. Our content and how you may use it

The website, the Workspace App and our products — including their text, templates, designs, workbooks and the Semplicita™ and Semplicita Method™ names — are owned by Pearson Projects Pty Ltd and protected by copyright and trade mark law. © 2026 Semplicita™. All rights reserved.

You may use them only as set out in section 3. You may not copy, adapt, resell or publish them, remove the Semplicita logo or notices, or try to get around access controls in the app.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law:

  • we aren’t liable for decisions you make about your project, or for the acts or omissions of your builder, trades, consultants or anyone else involved in it;
  • we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as delay costs, loss of profit or loss of opportunity; and
  • where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the product again or refunding what you paid for it.

11. Other terms

Suspending access. We may suspend or end an account that breaches section 3 or section 9, after first contacting you where reasonable.

Privacy. We handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website applies from the date shown, and changes won’t reduce your rights for a purchase already made.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
